“R-are and O-nly S-pecial E-ntity”

“If you bore not thorns,
Will you be highly esteemed
As one that is precious to touch?

If you bore not thorns,
Will your scarlet-fashioned beauty
Outshine the gloom around you?

If you bore not thorns,
Will you still be sought after
By all mights and braveries?

If you bore not thorns,
Will the strongest of hearts
Cry for your bleeding soul?

If you bore not thorns,
Will the courage you entice
Transform her to a warrior?

If you bore not thorns,
Will the challenge you bring
Prick her frail  weaknesses?

Because you bear thorns,
Her flesh has bled for you
Yet she never regrets choosing you.

And though you bear thorns,
Your bloom in continuum
Has encouraged her untiring heart.

And she knows time will come,
The Master shall cut your thorns,
When you both have blossomed at its full.

Bless these thorns of yours,
The very reason I write
This poem today.”
